This Indian lettuce, or 油麥菜, is available at the Hong Kong wet markets. The HK supermarkets, unsurprisingly, don't usually carry this vegetable (and about ten thousand other kinds of vegetables!) I find it very confusing how the so called "super store" supermarkets in Hong Kong seem to only carry a few things and randomly at that. But that's okay, I prefer shopping at the wet markets anyways. But my 媽媽 tells me that they have a great vegetable selection in Los Angeles at the various and many asian supermarkets. Go figure...my 媽媽 has an easier time shopping for asian groceries than I do here in HK!
