Broccoli Vegetable Pizza

Veggie, vegetable, vegetarian, pizza, recipe, broccoli, red onion, homemade, New York style crust, homemade tomato sauce

Okay, guys, I gotta confess...I honestly never thought that veggie pizza could be this good.  This Broccoli Vegetable Pizza was so yummilicious I couldn’t stop moaning 'OMG, this is so good' over and over as I devoured my first slice.  Embarrassing but true.

I think this might be the tastiest pizza I have ever had, homemade or restaurant served.  It was so devastatingly good that I was seriously bummed out that I only made one veggie pizza out of the four pizzas we made that night.  Darn it!  But guess what?  Next time it's gonna be veggies all the way!

Stir Fry Pizza ala Gong Bao Chicken 宮保雞丁比薩

Stir Fry Pizza, Gong Bao Chicken Pizza, kung pao chicken pizza, chinese, pizza, recipe, 宮保雞丁比薩, 宮保雞丁, 比薩

What you're seeing here is the result of some serious pizza experimentation! It all started when we tried out some interesting pizzas at a local pizza joint (for my B-D!)  Their pizzas were topped with all kinds of foods that I didn't usually associate with pizzas and it was pretty delish.  That got me thinking about ways to make a different kind of pizza, a kind that tasted not like a pizza but was still totally a pizza.

Sounds confusing, eh?  I was confused at first too.  After a bit of thought I realized what I wanted was a pizza to taste like two things: 1) a pizza and 2) another dish of my choosing.  So if you've got a favorite dish like barbeque chicken and you love pizza as well, you could make a barbeque chicken pizza that tastes like both barbeque chicken and pizza!  Double the yummy, amirite?!

White Clam Pizza

White Clam Pizza, seafood pizza, recipe, clam, pizza

For all of you pizza and seafood lovers, I'm super excited to share this!  I've been binging on food shows again (my favorite lazing about thing to do), this time enjoying 'Ugly Delicious' and they had this segment about this little ol' pizza joint in New Haven called Frank Pepe where they serve white clam pizza.  OMGosh...Clam pizza!  And it's sooo delicious that it's famous!

To be totally honest I was really surprised to see that Americans were loving themselves something so wildly seafood-y, if you know what I mean.  Hmmm..actually, I'm not even sure what that means.  Anyways, I was so intrigued with the idea, I mean fresh clams, pizza, what could go wrong?

We love, love, love fresh seafood and make homemade pizza every week so of course we had to try it.  And it was AMAZING!  This White Clam Pizza is simply made: freshly shucked clams, a bit of garlic and cheese and a swirl of olive oil combine to make this pizza a marvel of crispy golden cheese infused with the absolutely delicious briny sea sweetness of clam juice.  This white clam pizza is to die for!

Make Your Own Pizza - New York Crust

NY Crust Pizza recipe

Sometimes when I'm real hungry, something will happen: maybe the word 'pizza' will occur to me, or I'll get a sudden whiff of that yeasty, hot, impossible to resist baking pizza smell; and then from that moment on I can't think of eating anything besides pizza.

The pizza in Hong Kong is okay but it somehow always tastes 'Chinese' (which is okay just weird) plus it's definitely on the expensive side for the teensy tiny pizza sizes you end up with.  A large pizza here is similar in size to a small elsewhere.  And I can eat alot of pizza- my grand record being 12 large slices (real 'large' slices) in a old-styled pizza duel.  Pretty good for a skinny Chinese girl, eh?  Well, to tell the secret truth, I threw up the last couple of slices in the ladies room as fast as I could get there without being found out.
